"Lilou was terrified of her leash for the first month we had her. This collar was the first thing on her that ever felt like it belonged to her, not to whatever she went through before us."

The Collar Itself

Built For Mud, Rain And Whatever They Roll In

High quality leather that's soft against their neck from day one, no break in period. Mud wipes off with a damp cloth in about ten seconds, and it holds up to rain and daily wear for years. The nameplate is solid steel, engraved by hand, and it will not fade, peel or rust off.

  • Water resistant. Rain, puddles and lake swims are not a problem.
  • Wipes clean with a damp cloth. No scrubbing, no soaking, no smell.
  • Soft against their neck from day one. No chafing, no break in period.
  • Hand engraved steel nameplate. Not printed, not stickered, does not fade.
  • Hardware rated for dogs that pull hard.
  • 8 colors. S to XXL. Fits every dog from a terrier to a shepherd.

We do not have a photo of every dog rescued since 1999. Partly because there was no way to document them back then, and partly because Arthur has owned four phones since he started this and has taken roughly eleven photographs, nine of which are of his own thumb. There is still no fancy editing team, just six people trying to keep a record between trips. What you see above is every dog we have actually managed to capture and keep, not the full 856.

856 Dogs Off The Road Since 1999. The Next Mission Is Waiting On You.

Go look at their faces first. Every one has a photo, a name and the date they came in, posted by the six people who actually drive out there.

Questions & Answers

Questions We Get A Lot

Is this real, or is it marketing?

Fair question, most "we give back" claims are marketing. You can check ours in about a minute. Go to saveadog.info, where every rescued dog is posted with a photo, a name and a date. Six people who moved from the US to Eastern Europe have been doing this since 1999.

Is one specific dog rescued for my specific order?

Here is exactly how it works, because we would rather be straight with you. Rescues happen in missions, not one dog at a time. The team drives out roughly every two weeks and brings back everyone they can reach on that trip. Orders fund those missions. So your order is not matched to one dog by name, but it does pay for the trip that brings them in, and every dog from every mission goes up on saveadog.info with a photo and a date. You can see the exact mission your order went toward.

What does my order actually pay for?

Fuel, crates, vet care and food. It is not a percentage and not a portion of proceeds. The collar price is what funds the trip, and the van goes out every two weeks.

How long does shipping take?

Around two weeks. Every collar is engraved by hand for your dog specifically, which is what takes the time.

Can I return it?

Because the collar carries your dog's name, personalized orders are final sale. Please check the spelling and the size before you order. If we get the engraving wrong or it arrives damaged, we replace it free.

What goes on the engraving?

Your dog's name on the first line and "I Saved A Dog" on the second. If you want something different on the second line, just tell us at checkout.

How do I find the right size?

Measure your dog's neck with a soft tape, then pick from S to XXL. The full size chart is at the top of the page next to the size selector.

How do I clean it?

Damp cloth, wipe, done. Dirt sits on the surface instead of soaking in. No soap needed, no conditioner needed.
